Judge Merchan just had to explain to Donald Trump’s attorneys that they’re morons

Donald Trump’s defense attorneys completely botched their cross examination of Stormy Daniels (again) today. They tried belittling her over her line of work, but she held firm. They attacked her for using certain words in her tweets, but she pointed out that the displayed tweets didn’t even contain those words.

So it was no surprise that by the end of today’s proceedings, Trumps attorneys were asking for a mistrial (again). They argued that Daniels’ testimony about certain details, such as blacking out during sex with Trump, were unduly prejudicing the jury. At this point Judge Merchan pointed out to them that they were the ones who kept bringing up the issue over and over on cross examination, and that they were the ones who had drilled the notion into the jurors’ minds. In other words, Merchan had to explain to Trump’s attorneys that they were morons.

The thing is, they’re not actually morons. By all accounts these same defense attorneys have done a competent job in other trials while representing other clients. But now that they’re representing a moron like Donald Trump, they’re suddenly as moronic as he is.
