Judge Engoron drops the hammer on Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Now that Donald Trump has admitted he’s not going to be able to come up with bond in his New York civil fraud verdict, New York Attorney General Letitia James has begun the process of seizing at least one of Trump’s properties. Even as this plays out, Judge Arthur Engoron is dropping the hammer in his own way.

Judge Engoron has granted additional powers to the court appointed monitor overseeing the Trump Organization’s finances. This will make it far harder for Donald Trump to get away with trying to move or hide his assets as they’re stripped away.

There’s also one crucial provision which forces Donald Trump to notify the courts if he even so much as makes any further attempts at obtaining bond before the deadline. This means that if Trump tries going to some shady overseas entity to try to secure bond at the last minute, the courts will know about it. This sharply limits Trump’s ability to try any last minute shenanigans before the deadline.
