All along Judge Aileen Cannon has been making improper decisions that were aimed at helping Donald Trump but also subtle enough to keep her from getting removed from the case. But today she went whole hog and dismissed the classified documents criminal case against Trump entirely. There is strong reason to believe that this is good news for us. Why?

Every respected legal expert who’s spoken up thus far agrees that Cannon’s basis for dismissing the case is legally unsound. Whereas it would have been a crapshoot for Jack Smith to ask the 11th Circuit to remove Cannon up to now, it’ll be a slam dunk after this improper dismissal. And so the highly likely outcome is that the 11th Circuit reinstates the criminal case against Trump and reassigns it to a legitimate judge.

This doesn’t mean the case is now going to get to trial before the election. But that wasn’t going to happen under Cannon anyway. Now at least, once the case does get to trial, it’ll be under a legitimate judge – which means the odds of conviction and prison just went way up.

Of course this still means that we’ll have to put in the work and defeat Donald Trump in this election. But today’s events help ensure that once we do defeat him, he really is going to prison. Donate $25 to Palmer Report
