Judge Aileen Cannon has bizarre new scandal

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There has been a lot of commotion around Judge Cannon lately, so much hoopla that some may have missed the OTHER news about her, news that, if it is accurate, does not surprise me in the least. This news isn’t about Donald Trump or Jack Smith. It’s about Cannon’s managerial style, which several people call a nightmare.

It all started with two of Cannon’s law clerks suddenly quitting out of nowhere. As many legal minds have said, that is unusual in itself. Law clerks usually stay as long as they can, eager to absorb knowledge that might help them in their own legal careers down the line.

Therefore, it’s quite a surprise that not one but two clerks resigned from clerking for the incompetent Judge. There are some reviews of what life working for the Cannonball is like. And they have not exactly been flattering.

“Mean.” That is how one of the clerks who left reportedly described her. A post on a top law school forum says that Cannon’s office is: “Micromanaged round-the-clock” and often consists of “100 hours of work per week.”

“Generally she treats clerks (and the entire chambers staff) very poorly and tends to get angry to the point of screaming.”

Judge Cannon as a horrible boss? Why doesn’t this come as more of a surprise? “I know her courtroom deputy quit less than two years into the job.”

Cannon reportedly also sometimes requires office clerks to come in on weekends AND Federal holidays. She is also said to be very last minute, meaning sometimes she does not TELL employees they’re needed on the above-mentioned dates until the very last minute.

“It’s definitely not a clerkship to take if you have a family.” Reportedly, Cannon’s horrible boss behavior has worsened since she took on the Classified Document case. None of this surprises me. Cannon has shown her incompetence as a Judge time and time again, so why would she be any better as a boss?

Law clerks are also said to be unhappy with how her national spotlight has made the value of working for her seriously less valuable. So yes, Judge Cannon is a horrible boss if these words are to be believed. This story is receiving lots of attention. I do wonder how Cannon feels hearing herself described this way.
