Donald Trump Jr is somehow even stupider than we thought

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Even as Donald Trump is answering questions from Special Counsel Robert Mueller that will help determine whether Donald Trump Jr takes the fall in the Trump-Russia scandal, Junior remains lost in a haze of utterly deranged conspiracy theories. Remarkably, he’s found a new way to prove that he’s somehow even stupider than we thought.

Because the Republican Party has been caught cheating in the Florida election and a recount is on the verge of exposing it, GOP leaders and pundits are all throwing absurd conspiracy theories at the wall in the hope of muddying the waters. Only a gullible idiot would actually believe such nonsense, but most of Trump’s biggest supporters are indeed idiots, and of course his namesake is the most gullible idiot of all.

For instance, the Republicans are now pushing the notion that the Democrats somehow rigged the election by getting a bunch of convicted prisoners to vote. He’s the thing: convicted prisoners can’t vote. The only people who can vote are prisoners who are in jail awaiting trial, who haven’t been convicted of anything. This makes logical sense. If the person still has a chance of being found not guilty, there’s no legal basis for preemptively taking away their right to vote. So what does this have to do with Donald Trump Jr?

Donald Trump Jr has begun using his Twitter account to harp on the fact that the Parkland school shooter registered to vote from jail. This is stomach churning, but he hasn’t yet been convicted, so that’s how the law works. The catch is that Trump Jr was too busy foaming at the mouth to do his homework, or he would have known that the Parkland shooter registered as a Republican. In other words, Junior just made a mess for his own party by inadvertently publicizing the fact that the shooter belongs to the GOP.
