Donald Trump Jr completely jumps the shark

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

“President” Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr, keeps tweeting the hashtag #Bullshit. Junior’s tweets have to do with Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and his walk back on Saturday of his admission on Friday that he was in the racist photo depicting two men, one in blackface and one in a KKK outfit, on his medical school yearbook page.

In his press conference, Governor Northam did admit to blackface while entering a dance contest where he imitated Michael Jackson, saying “That same year, I did participate in a dance contest … in which I darkened my face as part of a Michael Jackson costume.” Junior retweeted the above and then tweeted with it: “What a joke. Imagine a Republican trying to pull off this crap??? He would never be heard from again.”

Junior then tweeted a number of additional thoughts with the hashtag referenced above. He is correct on one front – the press conference and Northam’s statements today do seem to be a large pile of BS. The two Virginia Senators, Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, who are both Democrats, have called for Northam step down, as has Representative Robert C. Scott. Northam must resign for his racism, period.

But the quoted tweet above that Junior uttered about a Republica not being “heard from again” is not correct. Not to be outdone by his namesake son, Trump Senior then referred to Northam’s controversy as “being unforgivable,” and again, Trump is right. But the sanctimony coming from the Trump family rings hollow, considering Trump’s response to Charlottesville, and his support for the Republican Senator in Mississippi who spoke of public hangings. Northam must go, but the Trump family might want to think a bit before speaking about Republicans and racism. The Democrats appear to be addressing this unforgivable, despicable racism without any need for Trump’s help.
