Is Donald Trump Jr already under sealed indictment?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This weekend, federal court records revealed an unusually high number of sealed indictments on the docket in Washington DC, meaning it’s probable – but not guaranteed – that at least some of them are the handiwork of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. That in turn raises the question of whether one of them has Donald Trump Jr’s name on it. There are some clues.

The thing about grand jury proceedings is that they’re supposed to be secret. The proceedings against Roger Stone have been a notable exception, because most of the witnesses against him have been his own quirky friends who keep mouthing off to the media about it. In most grand jury scenarios, very little information would become public, and the target wouldn’t know much about what was coming, unless a friendly witness privately tipped him off. This could explain why Donald Trump Jr has reportedly spent the week telling his friends that he thinks he’s about to get popped.

The thing is, if Robert Mueller’s gameplan does involve arresting Donald Trump Jr this week (as suggested by the Paul Manafort ten day window), it’s difficult to line up a grand jury indictment to fit an exact schedule. So Mueller would have already had the grand jury indict Trump Jr and whoever else might be about to get busted, and then keep those indictments under seal until the day he’s ready to charge and arrest them.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr is more lost than ever. His most recent Twitter posts include everything from making fun of Jim Acosta, to making false accusations of fraud against the Democrats. Junior seems to be putting very little focus into his legal defense, even though all signs are that he’s about to get busted.
