Missouri Senator and insurrection supporter Josh Hawley has declared that if there had been a recorded vote on legislation to honor January 6 heroes, he’d have opposed it. The reason he’d have done that, Hawley explained to “The Congressional Record” is because the resolution is nothing more than Democrats trying to “score cheap partisan political points.”

Hawley also said that it was incorrect to call January 6 an insurrection. “Not a single person from that day has been charged with the crime of insurrection,” Hawley gurgled Oops! The same day Hawley said all this, 11 Oath Keepers were charged with seditious conspiracy.

Hawley also said that the notion that the Capitol was attacked by “violent insurrectionists” was a falsehood. In reality, the only falsehood is Hawley himself. He is a greedy and grasping swamp creature, tainted by verbal muck, which he spouts daily.

Hawley also declared he DOES support the Capitol Police — even though he’d just announced he would not vote to honor any heroes from January 6.

In reality, the measure thanks the Capitol police profusely for being the heroes they are. But apparently, Hawley would instead try to score cheap political points instead of showing his gratitude to the people who saved many a sorry insurrection party member.

It will be interesting if the January 6 committee issues the Missouri non-Senator an invite. It will also be interesting to see the lengths that Hawley will go to further doom the shattered fragments of his political career.
