Donald Trump has a new scandal involving a guy named “Joseph Pizza” and no one can handle it
Donald Trump’s scandals have a remarkable penchant for being equal parts sinister and absurd. This is a guy who paid a porn star to keep quiet about their affair, and the story ended up involving a guy named Matthew Calamari. Now Trump’s latest scandal is even more bizarre.
Anti-corruption publication Sludge is reporting that Donald Trump received a $125,000 campaign donation last year from a hydroxychloroquine dealer named Joseph Pizza. Trump’s relationship with Mr. Pizza apparently goes back several years, and they’re close enough that Trump once sang “Happy Birthday” to Mr. Pizza’s wife, Mrs. Pizza.
Wait a minute… Joseph Pizza? Yep, that’s the guy’s real name. Donald Trump now has a scandal involving a guy named Joe Pizza, because of course he does. Also, and this is somehow real, Joe Pizza used to be in a band called “Muffin.” None of this means that Mr. Pizza has necessarily done anything wrong, though now would be a good time for him to come clean about any recent conversations he and Trump may have had.
In any case, it’s becoming more clear by the hour that Donald Trump has some corrupt motivation for falsely promoting an unproven and potentially fatal drug like hydroxychloroquine as if it were a coronavirus miracle cure. It’s already been established by the New York Times that Trump indirectly owns a portion of the biggest hydroxychloroquine manufacturer out there. The only question is how much deeper this story runs.
