Donald Trump’s election law firm Jones Day begins revolting against him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as many of Donald Trump’s allies are still loudly giving him lip service, the reality is many of his other allies are quietly backing away from him now that he’s lost. His pals at Fox News are cutting off his press conferences. His ally Netanyahu is busy congratulating President-elect Joe Biden. Now Trump’s own law firm is revolting against him.

Jones Day has never been afraid to represent wealthy terrible people in court, without worrying about its reputation. But the thing is, those wealthy terrible people had at least some legal leg to stand on, even if they deserved to lose. Now six lawyers from Jones Day are telling the New York Times that they don’t think their firm should be representing Trump in his phony “election rigging” lawsuits, because there’s literally no case, and that could be enough to hurt the law firm’s reputation as being a serious law firm.

Since Donald Trump was declared the loser of the election, Palmer Report has been predicting that many of his allies and enablers would begin cutting him off. After all, he’s about to no longer be of any use to his allies, and they’re all going to have to figure out how to survive once he’s gone. A big part of that will be trying to keep Trump’s stink off them. We’ll see a lot more of this in the coming weeks.
