Jon Stewart goes on Fox News and destroys the Republican Party

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As the GOP went about trampling on the health care of Veterans, the veterans found a protector in Jon Stewart. Stewart is a treasure. He has long been an activist, and his stepping up to the plate to support our veterans is a wonderful thing. But a curious thing happened, according to Stewart.

Fox non-news refused to have him on their show. They have since reconsidered, and Stewart has appeared on the non-news network. This is likely because even Fox knew how scummy they looked for trying to wiggle out of hosting Stewart.

On Thursday evening, Stewart mentioned that Fox had “refused” to book him on their network. This is likely because Fox was terrified their viewers would discover what traitors to the nation their side is.

And being the good little republican puppy that they are, Fox was likely offering the GOP cover. And how scared of Stewart they must have been. Stewart got his wish — Fox had him on. And Stewart proceeded to make mincemeat of the Republican party.

“This bill is utterly and completely focused on veterans’ issues” Stewart said. “There is no pork in it. It is a kosher bill.

  • I’d say halal, but I know how that might play on this network.”

Bravo, Jon Stewart. It’s nice when one sees a celebrity using their platform for good. In Stewart’s case, he used it for something wonderful — and may have helped save the lives of countless veterans in the process.
