President-elect Joe Biden adds John Kerry to his administration in new role
President-elect Joe Biden is reportedly picking Tony Blinken for Secretary of State, Alejandro Mayorkas for Homeland Security, Avril Haines for Director of National Intelligence, Jake Sullivan for National Security Adviser, and Linda Thomas-Greenfield for UN Ambassador. These are all impressive and experienced heavyweights, but they’re not household names. Now Biden is adding a household name, but in a new role.
– Biden is appointing former Secretary of State John Kerry as his climate czar, according to the New York Times. This is a crucial role, particularly given how negligent the Trump regime has been about climate change. Kerry has been focused on climate for some time. His international diplomacy skills will come in handy, because the climate battle requires coordination with governments around the world.
