John Kelly lashes out at Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

CNN and others are reporting that John Kelly, retired military General and Donald Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff, has privately said this to his friends about Trump: “The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it’s more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life.”

Here’s the thing: this kind of stuff doesn’t leak by accident. These leaks are always calculated trial balloons. John Kelly has told one of his friends to leak his words to the media, because Kelly is either trying to gauge the public’s appetite for him coming out publicly against Trump, or because Kelly is simply too much of a coward to put it out there in his own words.

While John Kelly’s leaked condemnation of Donald Trump may help cost Trump a few votes, it’s not enough – particularly considering all the villainy that Kelly engaged in while he was working for Trump. If Kelly wants his tattered reputation back, he can condemn Trump publicly. Until then, Kelly is the coward we always thought he was.
