John Fetterman comes out swinging

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We’re at an impasse as the GOP is deliberately trying to delay foreign aid to two of our major allies: Ukraine and Israel, and by proxy, they’re showing off how much damage they’re doing by encouraging attacks from hostile nations like Iran and Russia.

While Republicans in the House are facing pressure to release aid to both countries, Senate Republicans are still playing games with what the final aid packages will look like before going to the president’s desk. Fortunately, some Democratic senators, like John Fetterman, refuse to play along.

“When I was growing up, we all agreed that Russia is the evil empire and we got to stand with that. We’re all in that same fight and we all need to stand with all these democracies, Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan as well too.” The message has never been clearer: Stand with democracy, even if there’s one particular political party that routinely refuses to do so.

While JD Vance has refused to vote for aid to Ukraine, even going so far as to say what happens there – Fetterman is begging the question of why are Republicans clearly aligned with their presidential nominee in the same interests of not just Donald Trump but Russia as well, and why is no one else asking? The news we got in 2016 about the GOP colluding with a hostile world power is essentially indisputable fact and we’re seeing it play out in real time. This is one of many reasons why we need to re-elect President Biden, flip the House and keep the Senate on Nov 5.
