Donald Trump has frantic meltdown as John Dean testifies against him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When it comes to presidential obstruction of justice crimes, few people are more of an expert than former White House Counsel John Dean. He initially tried to help Richard Nixon cover up the Watergate scandal, before ultimately selling Nixon out for his obstruction of justice crimes. Now the House Democrats have brought in Dean to testify about Donald Trump’s obstruction crimes.

John Dean is still just getting started with his testimony, which is airing live on multiple TV networks. He’s laying out how Richard Nixon illegally tried to use pardons to prevent his own people from testifying against him, just as Donald Trump has been caught doing. Suffice it to say that Trump isn’t taking any of this well.

Trump posted this bizarre tweet just as John Dean was starting to speak: “Can’t believe they are bringing in John Dean, the disgraced Nixon White House Counsel who is a paid CNN contributor. No Collusion – No Obstruction! Democrats just want a do-over which they’ll never get!” Nice try. All this gives away is that Trump is really nervous that Dean’s testimony might shift public opinion further in favor of Trump’s impeachment.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has another brewing problem. John Dean finished his opening statement by calling on his counterpart, former Trump White House Counsel Don McGahn, to come to Congress and publicly testify. This comes even as House Democrats prepare to hold McGahn in contempt of Congress for not having yet shown up to testify. But the courts will eventually order McGahn to testify, and then Trump will have yet another nightmare scenario to worry about.
