John Bolton is cowering to Vladimir Putin because he’s knee deep in the Trump-Russia scandal
Trump National Security Adviser and egomaniacal warmonger John Bolton met with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week, and made a point of cowering to Putin as subserviently as he could. Most pundits seem rather confused as to how and why Bolton has undergone such a transformation, but there’s really very little here to be confused about. In fact Palmer Report sussed this one out from day one of Bolton’s tenure.
Actually, we figured it out two weeks before John Bolton took the job. As buzz was surfacing that Donald Trump was about to hire Bolton as his new White House National Security Adviser, most media outlets mistook it as a sign that Trump was looking to invade Iran. But clearly, that never did happen. Instead, the timing of Bolton’s hire gave away what was really going on – and it was all about the Trump-Russia scandal.
John Bolton had deep ties to Cambridge Analytica, the data mining arm of the Donald Trump campaign, and Cambridge Analytica had just gotten busted for stealing the user data from fifty million Facebook users. This was even as Cambridge Analytica was widely coming under suspicion of having used voter data that had been supplied by Russian hackers. It was fairly obvious at the time that Trump gave Bolton a cushy job in order to prevent him from cutting some kind of plea deal with Robert Mueller in the Trump-Russia investigation.
In fact, not only did Donald Trump give John Bolton a cushy job just as Bolton’s role in the Trump-Russia scandal was coming under scrutiny, he also gave a cushy job to Brad Parscale, who was also deeply involved in the Trump campaign voter data operation. This was bringing these people into the fold in order to keep them from flipping on him. So no one should be surprised that John Bolton is now cowering to Vladimir Putin; Bolton literally only has this job because of his role in the Trump-Russia scandal.
