Joe Biden scores HUGE win
This morning I wrote about how President Joe Biden raised a record setting $71 million dollars in the most recent quarter, and how it was $26 million more than Donald Trump raised. It serves to underscore just how popular Biden is, and how viable he is for 2024. But upon further reflection, another number from this latest batch of fundraising data stands out as being even more important.
About a quarter million people have donated to Biden’s 2024 campaign who didn’t donate to his Biden’s 2020 campaign. Think about this. It means that there a quarter million Americans who didn’t think the 2020 election was important enough to send any money to Biden, but who have already decided that the 2024 election is important enough to send money to Biden.
It’s not just about the money. It’s about Biden having a broader and more enthusiastic support base in 2024 than he had in 2020 – an election which he won by seven million votes.
No lead is large enough in this era of Republican voter suppression, Electoral College hijinks, and other nonsense. So it’s a big deal that so much fresh blood is already lining up behind Joe Biden’s 2024 campaign. We can’t leave this to chance, so we’re going to need all hands on deck. And it looks like that’s in the process of happening. Let’s keep it going.
