Joe Biden just won big

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If there’s only one candidate left in the race, does it matter who wins? On some level, yes. Joe Biden went into Tuesday’s Nebraska democratic primary with the nomination already in hand, and even though he’s the only candidate left in the race, he wasn’t the only name on the ballot.

Who bothers to vote in a primary race after the result has already been decided? People who are really enthusiastic about their candidate. So it’s notable that Joe Biden won Nebraska in an overwhelming blowout with about eighty percent of the vote. Moreover, depending on how the specifics of the math works out, it looks like Biden may have won every single delegate in the state.

What we’re seeing here is democrats rallying around Joe Biden as the nominee. And they’re not just doing it by default. They’re making a point of voting for him in a contest whose only real purpose is to see if the enthusiasm is there.
