Joe Biden is coming out swinging right out of the gate

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

With just a few days left until Joe Biden takes office as President of the United States, the rubber is about to meet the road. The nation is in a mess, in too many ways to count, meaning Biden has to move quickly on a number of fronts. It turns out he’ll be doing precisely that.

President Biden’s White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain has released a memo laying out the executive orders and executive actions that Biden will enact within his first week. The list includes reentering the Paris Climate Agreement, ending what was left of the Muslim ban, reuniting separated immigrant families, extending the freeze on student loan payments and the moratorium on evictions, a mask mandate on federal property, and a whole lot of other items.

In other words, promises made, promises kept. Some of the other things that President Biden has promised to do will have to be done legislatively with Congress, and will take a bit more time. But it’s clear that Biden is coming out swinging right out of the gate when it comes to the things that he can fix or reverse with the simple stroke of a pen.
