Joe Biden is a good man

President Joe Biden is a good man. He was dissed by Trump after he won, yet he invited Trump to the White House to talk transition. He’s a better man than I, or a better person, since I’m not a man. Biden congratulated Trump and told him that his administration will do everything they can to have a smooth transition. Unlike a normal person who might say “thank you,” Trump’s response was “Good.” When you look at the picture that accompanies Time’s piece, Joe Biden is smiling ear to ear while Trump looks like he does most of the time—crabby. According to Time, Biden hopes to “bring down the temperature in American politics.” Good luck with that. People are steadily trying to leave the country since Trump won.

According to Newsweek, financial planners and immigration experts were expecting this development if Trump won the election. Alex Ingrim is a financial adviser with Chase Buchanan USA, which is based in Florence, Italy. He said that he has often advised clients interested in retiring to Europe and that now that Trump has won reelection, he expects some to go. That’s all well and good for people who have money, as is the case with many who have financial planners. But what about the rest of us? I suppose were doomed to sit and watch Trump continue his destruction of the U.S. Interestingly, Ingrim also said that because Trump is a “known quantity,” many people had already begun making trips, preparing their visas, and talking to tax professionals.

Paul Beck, professor emeritus of political science at Ohio State University, said those who are most likely to leave are asylum seekers and undocumented immigrants, especially since Trump promised to mass deport them. Beck said that there are some so unhappy about the election and the potential of Trump’s administration that they talk about leaving, but he doesn’t think they really will. It would be difficult to just leave everything you know behind and start over in a new country. Having Trump run the country is bad, but is it that bad? We can survive four years; we’ve done it before, we will do it again, and we’ll come through shining. Why am I so confident of that? Because we’re good people who want to do good in this country and on this Earth.

Evil never wins, and it won’t win here. One day, all the people who complained about the job Joe Biden did in office will realize that they were wrong. Trump will do nothing good for the Earth, the country, or its people. It’s just not in him to do anything for anyone other than himself. The cabinet he’s assembling says more than anyone else can ever say. He wanted people in his cabinet to be “loyal,” which is merely another way of saying he wants flunkies who will be at his beck and call. That is what he’s getting, and it’s not going to end well for him. Then, we can look at everyone who voted for him and say: “I told you so.”
