Joe Biden for the win

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On this Election Eve, I find myself more anxious than I’ve ever been in my life about an election. Joe Biden is our guy and has a commanding lead in the polls and has sparked record turnout across the country. I was not a supporter in the beginning but came to see the big picture and voted for Biden in the primaries.

Something remarkable has happened since then. As I have come to know him much better and with every speech and event, debate and news release, I came to appreciate him more and more. I got to know his amazing wife and learned his story. I watched him engage his opponents immediately upon winning the nomination and proceed to add them one by one to his team. It’s clear his administration will be filled with the best and the brightest and that he holds the people in high regard.

I can see that Biden sees himself not as a savior, though he may save us, but as a bridge to the future. He already knows the lay of the land in Washington and has access to anyone there because he has always been decent and gracious to everyone. I can see now that now is not the time for a neophyte. We need an elder statesman, kind and connected, smart and knowledgeable and a brilliant and gracious First Lady like Jill.

At this moment, I feel nothing but love and gratitude for Joe and his family. They will bring dignity and grace, honesty, common sense and compassion back into our government. And as bruised and battered as we all are, we absolutely need that.
