Elizabeth Warren comes out swinging in favor of Joe Biden
Bernie Sanders appeared on MSNBC today and insisted he’s taking a “hard look” at whether to continue his presidential campaign. This is surreal, considering the primary race has been over for weeks and he lost in a blowout. Meanwhile the real progressive leader, smart and savvy Elizabeth Warren, is coming out swinging in favor of Joe Biden.
Elizabeth Warren appeared on Sirius XM and praised Joe Biden’s leadership: “Vice president [Biden], when he talks, reminds us of good and decent leadership.” She added that “every time [Biden] has a chance to talk, I’m reminded though, he is a good and decent man. And as a leader, he would not be putting himself first. He would be putting first the interests of the American people.”
While this isn’t a formal endorsement, it makes clear that Elizabeth Warren is preparing to strongly throw her weight behind Joe Biden in this election. At this point the only thing keeping the Democrats from fully uniting is Bernie Sanders’ ego and hurt feelings at having lost in a blowout. It sounds like Warren is tired of waiting for Sanders to grow up and do the right thing.
