Joe Biden just confirmed Pete Buttigieg will be a part of his administration
Now that Pete Buttigieg has dropped out of the 2020 race, plenty of his supporters have stated on social media that they’re not sure what to do with themselves. Pete has a bright future and he’ll probably be President someday, but what about right now? As it turns out, Pete’s fans can still get him into a major political position in 2020.
Joe Biden spoke with CBS Houston reporter Marcelino Benito today. Biden confirmed on-camera that he’s already told Pete Buttigieg that he’ll have a job in the Biden administration:

Just finished 1 on 1 interview with @JoeBiden after his event @TexasSouthern Asked him about reports @PeteButtigieg and @amyklobuchar will endorse him tonight in #Dallas. #Biden wouldn't confirm but did say this ⬇️ #khou11 #HtownRush pic.twitter.com/Acer6Vghul

To be clear, there’s no reason to presume that Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg have cut any sort of deal. Pete’s numbers in South Carolina made clear that he had no chance at the nomination, so there was no reason for him not to drop out. Accordingly, because Pete is so smart and savvy, there would be no reason for Biden not to include him in his administration. Amy Klobuchar may not be inclined to leave the Senate for a cabinet position, but she’s also endorsing Biden today.
