Joe Biden and Kamala Harris just did a heartwarming handoff

Kamala Harris visited the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign headquarters in Delaware this evening, which is now by default her presidential campaign headquarters. President Joe Biden, who is still recovering from illness, called in and spoke to the campaign staffers. Then Kamala Harris took the stage as staffers cheered “Kamala! Kamala! Kamala!”

While Harris was giving her speech, she said that she knew Biden was still on the line listening in. Sure enough, Biden chimed in and said “I’m watching you, kid.” He then added “I love you.” It was a heartwarming handoff from Joe Biden to his successor.
