Joe Biden and Kamala Harris just put a high profile joint event on the calendar

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We’ve all learned that just because Joe Biden is making a joint appearance with someone who’s rumored to be in the mix for his running mate, it doesn’t mean he’s going to use that appearance to announce that person as his running mate. That said, Biden just scheduled a rather conspicuously high profile joint event with Kamala Harris.

The Biden campaign has announced that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be hosting a virtual reception together on Tuesday, June 9th. Plenty of people are going to read into this, for two reasons. First, it’s being announced way in advance, suggesting that the campaign is looking to hype this event. The donation levels to “attend” this virtual event start at $500, meaning this is being positioned as a high profile or high prestige event.

Second, the timing of the event – early to mid June – would seem to fall in line with the timeframe for when most observers expect Biden to announce a running mate. We’ll see.
