Donald Trump just completely owned himself while trying to attack Joaquin Castro
You knew it was coming. Last night, Democratic Congressman Joaquin Castro posted the (already publicly available) names and business interests of Donald Trump’s biggest donors in his distract, shaming them for funding Trump’s white supremacist domestic terrorism. Since that time the GOP has been falsely accusing Castro of all sorts of things, from doxxing to harassment, even though none of that happened.
Donald Trump spent all day today viciously attacking numerous people, from Beto O’Rourke, to Joe Biden, to the Mayor of Dayton, to Senator Sherrod Brown, to Fox News host Shepard Smith. So much for the united front that Trump was supposed to be putting on today, in honor of this weekends’ mass shooting victims. So it was a matter of time before Trump got around to attacking Joaquin Castro. Sure enough, he did that tonight. Well, sort of.
Trump posted this bizarre tweet a few minutes ago: “I don’t know who Juaquin Castro is other than the lesser brother of a failed presidential candidate (1%) who makes a fool of himself every time he opens his mouth. Juaquin is not the man that his brother is, but his brother, according to most, is not much. Keep fighting Juaquin!”
Maybe Donald Trump doesn’t know who “Juaquin Castro” is because no one by that name exists. That’s right, Trump completely botched Joaquin Castro’s name (three times in a row), and ended up having to delete it and post it again a few minutes later. The President of the United States can’t even be bothered to learn how to spell a Congressman’s first name before attacking him. Then again, Trump referred to himself as “Donald Ttump” earlier this week – so maybe he’s just that illiterate.
