Joaquin Castro comes out swinging
Today is the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, making it oddly timely in light of everything that’s playing out in the United States right now. Congressman Joaquin Castro nailed it when he drew the apt comparison between what the Chinese regime did back then, and what the Trump regime is trying to do right now:
.
31 years ago today, the Chinese government murdered students who stood up to tyranny at Tiananmen Square. Whether in Beijing then or Hong Kong and Lafayette Park now, we must oppose the use of military force to crush peaceful protesters. The right to free speech is universal.

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.
