Jim Jordan just laid an egg
House Republicans have held the majority for more than fourteen months. During that time they’ve had full control over what public hearings take place and who the star witnesses are. Yet for all their attempts at landing political zingers, they keep striking out.
Jim Jordan, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, may well be the most inept of all (although James Comey has been giving him a run for his money). In decades past, Jordan was able to hold sham hearing that were at least semi-effective in getting their dishonest messaging across. But these days Jim Jordan strikes out in his hearings more often than Michael Jordan struck out in baseball.
Jim Jordan tried to lead a hearing today with Special Counsel Robert Hur as the star witness. But it was a bad sign when Hur resigned from his job yesterday. Hur then gave utterly witless testimony today, which only served to make Biden look good. Then House Democrats used their allotted time to make sure everyone knows just how senile Donald Trump has become.
This was an utter disaster for Jim Jordan. He’s fully lost his touch. Perhaps he’s been hanging around Donald Trump so much that he’s now suffering from sympathy senility.
