Jim Jordan is having a terrible 48 hours

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Gym Jordan (screamer, insurrection party, Ohio) is getting owned big-time. These last 48 hours have been as dizzying as a whirling dervish for the blue-shirted baby. He appears to be getting himself into trouble on multiple fronts.

First off, Jordan is wrangling with the January 6 committee — not the smartest thing to do. He wrote them a long and rambling six-page letter demanding to see the evidence against him. Basically, he’s saying, “what you got?”

Jim Jordan’s hysterics will not bog down the January 6 committee. Why on earth would they be? They know who and what he is. As if that wasn’t enough drama, Jordan is also making a fool of himself on Twitter. Jordan tweeted this. Got your popcorn? It’s a doozy: “I am convinced that a criminal who wants a firearm can get one through illegal, untraceable, unregistered sources, with or without gun control.”

Oh, Jim, you shouldn’t have. You really shouldn’t have. Faster than you could say, “not a good idea,” Twitter was on it. The responses were positively twinkling with mischievousness, a fitting response to such nonsense as Jordan’s verbal poppycock. Here are some of the best responses:

“Gym has nothing worthwhile to say.”

“Are you high?”

“Times have been changing, Gymmy.”

“If only you worked half as hard on legislation as you do your tweets.”

“Got anything from this year?”

And my favorite:

“let’s not have laws because we break them?”

This was my thought too. Out with the drunk-driving laws! Somebody will always drive drunk, so what is with rules? Burglars? Well — some still burgle. By George, I’ve got it! Let all the robbers free. The bottom line is that Ohio’s non-congressman, Gym Jordan is having a really bad couple of days, and it is nobody’s fault but his own.
