Jim Acosta just destroyed Andrew Yang to his face

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Vanity is yet another thing that can pull one down into its sticky web. So let’s talk about the vanity of Andrew Yang — and how he just got his butt handed to him by the best thing CNN’s got going for it — Journalist Jim Acosta.

Yang, of course, has formed “The Forward Party,” which at the time of this writing has no positions on anything, no candidates, and after Yang’s conversation with Acosta, a great deal of egg on their face:

Yang has been on a non-stop pity party since he lost his last election. He appears to blame Democrats for literally everything that’s happened to him.

I say if Yang had been a better candidate, he might have stood a chance. All of his errors and wounds were self-inflicted, and he has nobody to blame for his political floundering but himself.

But his vanity shines bright. Remember the great book Bonfire of the Vanities? This is the bonfire of Andrew Yang, and the bonfire went up in smoke after Jim Acosta called it out. Acosta is a no bullshit type of journalist who never “both sides” it.

So when interviewing Yang, he played it like the pro he is. “Is this way for you to pump up book sales?” Acosta asked Yang bluntly. Yang’s response was to basically scoff at the very IDEA of this being true even though I tend to think it IS true.

Are you just promoting yourself? Acosta asked again. No, of course not, Yang said indignantly. Yet Yang answered no questions. He took no positions. He would not, friends and readers, even take place on Roe. Think about THAT one for a minute.

Acosta asked him about Trump and it was literally like pulling teeth, trying to get an answer from Yang. Yang hurt himself and his party a great deal in this interview, but Acosta gave us a gift. He showed how REAL journalists do it. He threw water on the bonfire and reduced it to ashes.
