Jim Acosta gets the best of Marjorie Taylor Greene

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Courage when it shows itself, glimmers like diaphanous crystals. When someone does something courageous, it can invigorate others to do the same. I have written about Jim Acosta before. It is my opinion that he is one of the best damn reporters out there! He never both sides it, and he is always forthright.

That might be why Acosta has just had a run-in with someone who is NOT courageous — Marjorie Taylor Greene. This all has to do with Greene’s Marshall law text. Greene has been rocking it with “I don’t recall” and “I can’t remember.”

Of course, anyone with a brain knows Greene’s memory isn’t THAT bad. So Acosta confronted her. And Greene did not like being confronted, as evidenced by her hysterical reaction to Acosta.

Here is what Acosta said:

“Did you send a text asking for the President to declare martial law?”

“Did you do that?”

Greene gave her standard response:

“I don’t recall those being my text messages.”

Greene then went on to label Acosta a liar:

“Why don’t you just be honest?” Greene screamed. “You’re just another one of those liars on television.”

“And people hate it,” she screeched dementedly. “They hate it.”

Not to be deterred, Acosta calmly started reading the text in question — aloud to Greene.

“You’re lying!!” “You’re a liar,” the irrational joke of a woman shrieked.

“I’m not trying to lie,” the reporter said calmly.

Seeing how she wasn’t getting anywhere, Greene then tried a new strategy.

“Stop harassing me. Stop harassing me,” screamed the vile woman.

“I didn’t give you permission to,” she went on.

Malevolence meets valiance. Guess who won? As I said, courage is something to see, alright. When it shows itself, it glitters. Thanks, Jim Acosta, for your courage.
