Donald Trump’s Jeffrey Epstein scandal just took a bizarre new turn

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Jeffrey Epstein, serial child rapist, allegedly died of suicide while in the custody of his friend Donald Trump’s Department of Justice, amid widespread suspicion that Epstein could have incriminated Trump. Since Epstein’s death, the saga has taken a number of bizarre turns, including guards who were all conveniently sleeping, broken security cameras, and missing security tapes. Now it’s taken an even stranger turn.

Prosecutors are now claiming that they have the security tapes after all, and never did misplace them, according to CNBC. This is after they previously claimed that they had misplaced the tapes. Who takes the embarrassing step of announcing they’ve lost key evidence, when it was in their possession the whole time?

This whole thing keeps getting stranger. If this is a coverup, it’s been botched from the start, and it’s still being botched. Coverups only work if you carry them out well enough to make sure that no one knows where to look, or what to look for. Of course the Trump regime is roughly as well known for its incompetence as it is for trying to cover up its crimes, so this sure does feel like it could have their proverbial fingerprints on it.
