JD Vance is spiraling
“America, America, I gave my best to you.” Joe Biden’s voice rings through my head as I write this article. So does Kamala’s. But this article is about something other than both of them specifically. Or perhaps it’s about both of them — and about you, dear readers, and me — and everyone who is proud to be from the greatest country — America.
Let me set the stage. On Tuesday afternoon, in Big Rapids, Michigan, Donald Trump’s partner in slime, JD Vance, made a shocking claim. Vance said Harris was planning on copying Trump, had no ideas of her own, and planned to adopt the “Make America Great Again” slogan.
No, really! I even received texts about it. Vance also accused Harris of secretly planning to steal the Trump and Vance team’s “fashion sense.”
No, really! Are these people for real? Yes, they are. No, really. But Vance’s outlandish and frankly mindbogglingly stupid comments give something away, and that something is so important; it really is.
These comments about their slogan—Make America Great Again—mean that Vance and Trump do not think America is already great. How sad, my friends! Look, Look, America has been through a lot. She’s seen good times and bad. But of course, she’s great! She shines like a giant glimmering star and always will!
See, I love America. I just do not care for some of the people who dwell here, meaning MAGA. But it’s important to know and to understand America’s greatness. America is beauty. America is freedom. America is magnificence. America is acceptance — of ourselves and others.
America is a giant, solid gold wave, shimmering, dancing , cresting into infinity, with arms that wrap themselves around EVERYONE regardless of race, sex, or religion, regardless of who they love and who they are.
America is damn WONDERFUL. We are proud of America. They aren’t. Vance and Trump are the past. We are the future. We are the ones who will win big in November because we love, love, LOVE our country, and we KNOW what we need to do to succeed.
