JD Vance is being weird again, gives bizarre excuse to cover for how afraid he is to debate Tim Walz
JD Vance is having yet another weird and creepy day on the campaign trail today. At one point he was asked by a reporter what makes him happy. His reply consisted a fake forced prolonged laugh followed by an incoherent answer about how angry he is. Then things got weirder.
When JD Vance was asked about debating his fellow running mate Tim Walz, Vance responded that he’s only willing to debate Kamala Harris. His reasoning: he doesn’t think Walz is going to remain the running mate. In Vance’s imagination, Walz had a terrible rollout yesterday and may be replaced at the convention. No really, Vance said this. But it gets even weirder.
Vance knows that Kamala Harris isn’t going to debate him. Why would a presidential nominee debate a vice presidential nominee? Vance clearly seems to be trying to take the heat off Donald Trump over his refusal to debate Kamala Harris. But this kind of stunt isn’t going to get them anywhere.
Come to think of it, when Trump was first trying to weasel out of debating Kamala Harris, his excuse was that he didn’t know whether she was really going to be the nominee. Now Vance is trying to weasel out of debating Tim Walz by claiming that he doesn’t know whether Walz is really going to be the running mate. Trump and Vance are both the same weird coward.
