Donald Trump’s own lawyer Jay Sekulow turns against him
Donald Trump has been through so many idiot lawyers, we’ve lost count. But even as others have come and gone, Jay Sekulow has remained Trump’s lawyer for quite a long time. Sekulow is definitely an idiot – but even he appears to have decided it’s time to abandon the sinking ship.
Sekulow made a point of acknowledging today that Mike Pence has literally no ability to somehow magically overturn the election result tomorrow. Of course everyone outside Trump’s remaining base knows this, but Trump is still openly fantasizing aloud on Twitter about somehow making it happen.
So it’s notable that Sekulow has chosen now to loudly turn against Donald Trump. Of course in two weeks there will be no Donald Trump, as the rest of his life quickly becomes about criminal indictments, trials, creditor squeezes, bankruptcy, and prison. It appears Sekulow is now trying to rehabilitate his own reputation. Sorry, too late.
