January 6th Committee reveals Jim Jordan and others plotted with Trump regime to overthrow election
The January 6th Committee just made a court filing revealing that Jim Jordan and other House Republicans plotted with the Trump regime to try to overthrow the 2020 election. As a reminder, Republican leadership initially tried to put Jim Jordan on the January 6th Committee, and now – to no one’s surprise – it’s clear he’s a prime suspect in the committee’s investigation.
It was Speaker Pelosi who not only kept Jim Jordan off the committee, but baited Kevin McCarthy into stupidly withdrawing all of his picks. This resulted in no Trump flunkies being on the committee.
Some liberals tried to keep Pelosi from becoming Speaker in 2019, arguing that “we need fresh blood” – which is never a valid argument on its own.
What we needed was expertise and savvy, from someone who knows how things actually work and can therefore deliver wins. Which is precisely what we’ve gotten from Pelosi. Without her, Jim Jordan would likely be on the January 6th Committee, investigating himself.
