January 6 Committee busts House Republican

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The January 6 Committee are our watch-dogs, peering into the veiled shadows of insurrectionists and making sure they leave no stone unturned in their quest for justice. And now another Congressperson has been asked to appear voluntarily.

Barry Loudermilk of the state of Georgia has been asked to appear before the committee. This has to do with those pesky little tours. Some Congress-people were said to have been giving the tours shortly before the insurrection. Remember those? The committee sure does. And they want to talk to Loudermilk about them. Apparently, he led one of those tours.

“Based on our review of evidence in the Select Committee’s possession, we believe you have information regarding a tour you led through parts of the Capitol complex on January 5, 2021.”

“Public reporting and witness accounts indicate some individuals and groups engaged in efforts together information about the layout of the U.S. Capitol, as well as the House and Senate office buildings, in advance of January 6, 2021.”

Oh boy. This is new. And it also shows that the committee is on top of EVERYTHING. Somehow I doubt Loudermilk will be the only one to get an invite like this, but that is my own opinion. What did they know, and when did they know it? The tours are key to this whole investigation.

There has long been talk that some in Congress should not have been giving these tours. This is yet another thing we, the people, will find out more about, I am sure, in the televised hearings. Somehow I have a feeling this is but the tip of the iceberg.
