James Comey just keeps making this worse for himself
Of course James Comey says we shouldn’t bother to put Trump in prison. Comey has the worst judgment of just about anyone you can find. He was the most uniquely unsuited person in the country to be FBI Director. Every one of you reading this could have done a better job than Comey, and I don’t say that lightly.
– Mitch McConnell could end this tomorrow by holding a swift impeachment trial. Mike Pence could still end this today by invoking the 25th Amendment. If Trump gets to finish his term, don’t even think about blaming the Democrats.
– I’d have thought this impossible even a few days ago. But at this point my gut says there’s a 50-50 chance that one or more House Republicans ends up in prison for their roles in the Capitol attack. Innocent until proven guilty, but the details that are surfacing are getting uglier by the minute.
