James Comer just stepped in it
Republicans and Faux News live to spread lies and get their viewers all up in arms about nothing. Faux News had a big headline: “House committee’s impeachment inquiry to hear key testimony this month as probe reaches critical stage.” Where do they get this stuff? They might as well go back to investigating pizzagate.
Comer is more focused on Hunter and James Biden, the president’s son, and brother, respectively. He alleges some type of criminality with a loan President Biden made to his brother years ago as something nefarious. According to Faux News, Comer has subpoenaed former White House Counsel Dana Remus for deposition to be questioned about President Biden’s supposedly criminal retention of classified materials. You know, the ones Biden didn’t even know he had. Unlike Trump, President Biden wasn’t sitting somewhere, going through the documents with some purpose in mind. They were found in an office he used as vice president and some in his garage. Either way, they were locked away from prying eyes, again, unlike Trump, who had them strewn about Mar-a-Lago.
If these clowns seriously think they are going to find President Biden guilty of the same or similar crimes as Donald Trump, they are mistaken. In fact, Jamie Raskin recently let Comer have it about this entire study in ridiculousness. If you have never checked out Brian Tyler Cohen’s YouTube channel, you must make it a priority. He focuses on the facts, but he’s also hilarious. He showed a clip of Comer, looking serious while telling tall tales. He claimed that the oversight committee would be releasing subpoenaed bank records for Hunter Biden that show payments from his company to his father. The payments that bother Comer were a recurring payment from Hunter to his father for $1,380. These are Hunter’s payments to his father for loaning him the money to buy a truck. Oh, the shame. How dare Hunter borrow money from his father when he wasn’t even president? Enter Jamie Raskin.
Raskin took to Twitter to show the bank statements. He wrote: “Chair Comer is digging up old public reporting, distorting the facts, and presenting it as ‘breaking news.’ As a private citizen, Joe Biden made car payments for his son, who paid him back-it’s right here in the NY Post.” If Comer didn’t look silly enough, this information only highlights it. Raskin also showed an email from “the laptop Republicans love to talk about,” which merely showed Hunter paying back his father. Raskin then twisted the knife he stuck through Comer’s heart: “If Chairman Comer had any actual evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden, he would not repeatedly resort to distorting the facts and recycling Trump-Giuliani conspiracy theories.” These men are idiots, and worse yet, they’re not ashamed of being idiots. As Brian Tyler Cohen said: “Let me be the first to offer up a big congratulations to James Comer for finally uncovering the massive scandal that is Hunter Biden paying back his dad who helped him purchase a truck in 2018 when Joe was neither president nor a candidate for office. … James Comer is a fucking idiot with a humiliation fetish.” No truer words have been spoken.
