Jack Smith reportedly spent the arraignment staring daggers at Donald Trump
If you’re wondering what kind of prosecutor Jack Smith is, all you have to do is look at his long track record of aggressive prosecutions and slam dunk wins, along with the comprehensive nature of his Donald Trump indictment. But if you really want a sense of who Jack Smith is, check out this tidbit.
While Donald Trump was leaving the arraignment today, Jack Smith kept staring at him, and “never broke his stare,” according to CBS News. This kind of thing can serve two purposes. One would be to psychologically rattle the target. The other would be to study Trump’s reaction to what was happening to him today, in order to learn how to approach him psychologically.
Jack Smith has a winning case here, and will win at trial, and will put Donald Trump in prison. But it’s also worth keeping in mind that part of having a winning hand is how you play it. Trump is an extraordinarily psychologically broken person, and Smith is surely figuring out how to exploit that in order to goad Trump into screwing up and making it even easier to take him down.
