I’ve heard this somewhere before
Whenever anyone calls out Donald Trump for his weaknesses, he accuses them of being part of a “deep state” conspiracy against him. Doesn’t matter how right they are, or how much evidence they’ve presented. In his mind, and in the minds of his fans, he can’t do any wrong, so his detractors must have bad faith reasons for daring to now worship him. We all roll our eyes at this crap.
Whenever anyone calls out Bernie Sanders for his weaknesses, he accuses them of being part of a “democratic establishment” conspiracy against him. Doesn’t matter how right they are, or how much evidence they’ve presented. In his mind, and in the minds of his fans, he can’t do any wrong, so his detractors must have bad faith reasons for daring to now worship him. Yet some in the Resistance actually vote for this guy? That can’t be right. How is this behavior any different than the conspiracies that Trump invents about his detractors?
You want to know how a legitimate candidate handles criticism? During one of the early debates, Kamala Harris shared some harsh opinions about one of Joe Biden’s past stances on an issue. Biden didn’t like it, and they argued about it. But afterward, Biden didn’t accuse Kamala of being part of some conspiracy against him; he handled it like an adult. That’s probably a big part of why she’s now endorsing him and campaigning for him, instead of endorsing Sanders.
