Ivanka Trump’s bizarre new tweet gives the middle finger to Donald Trump

Is Ivanka Trump truly on her father’s side? Has she been giving him a year’s worth of bad advice, such as urging him to fire FBI Director James Comey, in the hope of getting him sent to prison? Did she sabotage his preferred Senate candidate in Alabama just to humiliate him? These are the questions that have been swirling for the past year. Now Ivanka has posted a bizarre new tweet which appears to tell Donald Trump that “time’s up” while endorsing Oprah.

Here’s what Ivanka tweeted on Monday night: “Just saw Oprah’s empowering & inspiring speech at last night’s #GoldenGlobes. Let’s all come together, women & men, & say #TIMESUP! #United” Let’s be clear about a few things here. First, she posted this tweet after Oprah’s people told the media that Oprah is considering running for President in 2020. So on some level Ivanka just endorsed her own father’s would-be challenger. Then she tacked on the “time’s up” hashtag which was created as a rebuke of her father and other sexual assaulters like him.

Numerous female public figures came together ahead of the Golden Globes to create the “Time’s up” campaign, which serves as a warning to men who have abused their positions of power by harassing or assaulting women. Donald Trump is one of the most infamous male public figures who fits that description. He’s been accused of sexual assault by roughly twenty women. He’s been caught on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women when he first meets them.

There is no possible way that Ivanka Trump isn’t fully aware that the “Time’s up” campaign is partially aimed at her own father. It’s also incredibly unlikely that Ivanka wasn’t aware of Oprah’s potential presidential campaign by the time she posted the above tweet. Why is Ivanka suddenly throwing her own father under the bus in public? Everyone around him seems more eager to sell him out than ever.
