It’s over for Kyrsten Sinema
When Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema began selling her vote to the biggest right wing donor, even while behaving in increasingly aloof fashion, you could tell it was simply over for her. She’d lost interest in having a long term Senate career, and decided to cash in before cashing out.
When Sinema changed her registration from Democratic to Independent, there was a whole lot of pundit-speak about how this was supposedly her secret evil genius plan to get herself reelected. But really, it just looked like yet another half baked nonsense move on her part.
When Democratic candidate Ruben Gallego decided to run against Sinema in 2024, three way polling showed Gallego slightly in first place, the Republican candidate in second place, and Sinema in a distant third place. It was pretty clear by then that it was all over for Sinema and she was just going to play out the string.
But now we pretty much have hard proof that it’s all over for Kyrsten Sinema. Take a look at her pathetically small fundraising numbers and her near total lack of a 2024 campaign:
A haul this small, a burn this high, and an utterly nonsensical “path to victory” prospectus that proves how out of touch she is with the Arizona electorate. All the same story: someone who stopped trying a long time ago.
This is not a candidacy. This is a grift. https://t.co/pvdX5RKVkl

.
In other words, Kyrsten Sinema has totally given up on the notion of winning in 2024, and is simply going through the motions of a “reelection” campaign so she can raise a bit more money along the way. But polling shows that she has no constituency left – and so do these pathetic fundraising numbers. Sinema is simply finished.
