It’s all over but the whining and crying
With his poll numbers cratering due to his ongoing negligent mishandling of the coronavirus, Donald Trump has decided on a fix: he’s going to start holding regular coronavirus briefings again today. Of course what people are really looking for is coherent leadership, national mandates, medical supplies, economic relief, and honest assessments – and Trump isn’t capable of any of that.
In an apparent preview of what Trump’s briefing will sound like later today, he posted this stunningly bizarre tweet:
You will never hear this on the Fake News concerning the China Virus, but by comparison to most other countries, who are suffering greatly, we are doing very well – and we have done things that few other countries could have done!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 21, 2020
.
We’re not even sure where to start. Trump is back to using racial slurs to describe the coronavirus. He’s claiming that the U.S. is somehow handling the pandemic better than the rest of the world, when everyone knows that the U.S. is handling it worse than any other nation on Earth.
So this is what Donald Trump is going to bring with him into today’s briefing? If so, he’ll only serve to drive his approval rating and poll numbers even lower. At this rate it’s all over for him but the whining and crying.
