It’s about to get all stupid up in here

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Here’s how things now stand. Louie Gohmert’s lawsuit to try to force Mike Pence to overturn the election has been thrown out of court twice so far this weekend. Republican Senators Pat Toomey and Mitt Romney are attacking Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley. And Ted Cruz is still Ted Cruz.

It’s not just that the Republican Party is ripping itself to pieces over the idiotic question of whether to hold a protest vote that refuses to acknowledge President-elect Joe Biden’s victory. It’s that Donald Trump, who is still for the moment the leader of the Republican Party, is providing no leadership or guidance whatsoever.

Trump isn’t attempting to rally his Republican troops in Congress, or tell them what he wants. That’s why his party is ripping itself to pieces, all while fighting over a “plan” that isn’t even designed to save Trump. It would be literally impossible for this plot to delay Biden’s inauguration, or even delay certification by more than a few hours. It’s all a bunch of nothing. And yet it’s treason at the same time. And it’s deservedly destroying the GOP while the rest of us roll our eyes.
