It was only a matter of time

I like to imagine. I imagine what it’d be like if all the haters, all the angry MAGA, lived amongst each other on their own island. Amid the squawks of seagulls, they could watch their reflections and their anger rise and fall like island waves, receding and then once again crashing up on shore.
It’d be a nice place for them, a place of lost souls where they could hate and be hated — a place where they could shout all their injustice collecting at the waves, and perhaps they’d be content. Elon Musk would be there. Elon is the chief of lost souls, and finally, FINALY ,what we all knew would happen has come to pass.
My dear friends and readers, we’ve waited, knowing Musk and Trump would fall out. It was bound to happen, yes? They’re too alike for it ever to work out between them. Thus, the tide had to turn, and when it did, it turned bigly.
“Disgusting abomination.” That is what Musk called Trump’s big, beautiful bill, shocking many pundits but not us because we knew — we knew this was coming. On Tuesday, Musk lashed out with the words above, also saying, “I’m sorry but I just can’t stand it anymore.” He also wants to vote out any politician who voted for this bill, vote them out of office.
“In November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people.” When Musk gets mad, he goes all in. The GOP is not happy about this. They, in fact, seem dismayed. The New York Times put it this way: “Now unshackled from loyalty to the Trump party line, Mr. Musk can again formant chaos with his X feed.”
Indeed, he can, and this complicates things for Republicans. And they know it, too; believe me, they know it. It was always going to end this way. Always. Mr. Musk’s ego is as big as a wave itself, it is gigantic; he is the KING of lost souls. He knows not what he wants from moment to moment.
Like the lost souls that came before him, he has no identity, indeed no political identity, and he seems prepared to scream and to shout and to fully complete his new role of turning into the biggest, brashest—angriest lost soul of them all.
