Is this guy for real?
Today is a weekday, which means that – statistically speaking – Donald Trump is probably in bed right now and watching Fox News. This weekend, even as his own regime’s latest mutilation of the Mueller report is publicly released, Trump will likely be heading out of town for yet another vacation, because doing nothing is what he does best. In the meantime, Trump is doing what he does second-best: projecting.
Donald Trump woke up this morning, and in the midst of his two-year-long White House staycation, posted this tweet with no apparent sense of irony at all: “Democrats in Congress must return from their Vacations and change the Immigration Laws, or the Border, despite the great job being done by Border Patrol, will only get worse. Big sections of Wall now being built!”
Who’s going to be the one to tell him that his imaginary wall still isn’t being built? Someone is also going to have to explain to him that this kind of nonsense isn’t true, no matter how many times he repeats it: “Wow! FBI made 11 payments to Fake Dossier’s discredited author, Trump hater Christopher Steele.”
But that’s okay, because no matter how incrementally ugly the redacted Mueller report ends up being for Trump, he can always blame Hillary Clinton for it. No, really. This morning he blamed Hillary Clinton for it: “The Witch Hunt has been a total fraud on your President and the American people! It was brought to you by Dirty Cops, Crooked Hillary and the DNC.” For reference, he’s accusing the FBI and the United States Intelligence community of being the “Dirty Cops” in this scenario. That’s right, in Trump’s world, the FBI and Hillary are somehow working together, against him. With this much projecting, Trump must really be worried about what’s going to come out before this week is over.
