Donald Trump’s decision to sneak off and visit U.S. troops in Iraq was a callously opportunistic move. After two years of refusing to visit combat zones, Trump was hoping to distract from the resignation of General James Mattis and his own bone spurs scandal. Trump spent the trip lying to the troops and exposing a secret U.S. mission, thus canceling out any good press he might have received from the trip. But now the trip has taken a catastrophic turn.

It turns out Donald Trump didn’t just keep his trip a secret from the American public. He also kept it a secret from the government of Iraq, and let’s just say that this isn’t playing well – at all. In fact the government of Iraq is now so outraged at Trump’s decision to violate its sovereignty without advance warning, it’s demanding that the U.S. withdraw all troops from Iraq. It seems Trump has taken his screw-ups to a whole new level.

Just how bad is it? This isn’t coming in the form of a polite request. The government of Iraq is calling Donald Trump “arrogant” and worse. This guy can screw up literally anything, just by standing near it. Now he’ll be left trying to explain that his little photo op just cost the United States whatever military goals it had in Iraq. This alone is worthy of impeachment and a unanimous vote for removal.

Other U.S. Presidents have visited the troops in combat zones numerous times, and none of them have ever created a diplomatic nightmare like this. Then again, other U.S. Presidents have all had some degree of competence when it came to planning these things. In contrast, Donald Trump has purposely surrounded himself in the White House with nothing but unqualified people, criminals, traitors, monsters, and idiots he owed favors to.
