Donald Trump has bizarre meltdown about his Iraq visit

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

This afternoon Donald Trump revealed that he and Melania snuck off to visit U.S. troops stationed in Iraq last night, in an obvious attempt at a distraction after his Secretary of Defense resigned in protest and just as his fake bone spurs were confirmed. Trump has never previously visited a combat zone, making this a shady opportunistic stunt. Trump also managed to screw it up simply by opening his mouth.

According to the newly released White House pool report posted by Time Magazine, a reporter asked Donald Trump if he had any concerns about visiting Iraq. His tone-deaf answer: “Sure, When I heard what you had to go through.” When the reporter asked him to elaborate, he dissolved into a bizarre rambling meltdown.

The pool report says that Donald Trump gave this jarring followup answer: “If you would have [seen] what we had to go through in the darkened plane with all the windows closed with no light anywhere. Pitch black. I’ve been on many airplanes. All shapes and sizes.” In other words, Trump the draft dodger is trying to paint himself as the one taking on the danger, when he’s visiting troops who are risking their lives in a combat zone. In addition, his incoherent “many airplanes” remark is a reminder that his cognitive abilities are failing worse than ever.

So there you have it. Donald Trump dodged the draft, then committed treason to rig the election in his favor, then spent two years dodging combat zones, and now that he’s being exposed as a draft dodging traitor, he’s finally visiting a combat zone – even while trying to make it all about himself and making no sense in the process.
