Donald Trump caught red handed in iPhone scandal
Yesterday the New York Times reported that while Donald Trump has two government-secured iPhones at his disposal, he spends most of his time using a third iPhone instead. This third iPhone is his personal device bought off the shelf, and it’s not up to national security standards. Trump responded with a tweet which went way overboard in denying things, and it turns out the tweet itself got him busted.
Donald Trump posted this tweet this morning: “The New York Times has a new Fake Story that now the Russians and Chinese (glad they finally added China) are listening to all of my calls on cellphones. Except that I rarely use a cellphone, & when I do it’s government authorized. I like Hard Lines. Just more made up Fake News!” The trouble is, he posted it from an iPhone.
Various third-party Twitter apps allow you to look up and see which kind of device any given tweet was sent from. Palmer Report began hearing claims that Donald Trump’s tweet was sent from an iPhone, so we looked it up in TweetBot, and sure enough, he really did send this tweet from an iPhone.
Again, Donald Trump has both secure and non-secure iPhones at his disposal, and we have no way of knowing which of them he sent this tweet from. But the kicker here is that Trump literally used a cellphone to tell us that “I rarely use a cellphone.” This guy always takes his lies way too far, and as so often happens, he’s once again given himself away.
